The Lewisville Baptist Church office is closed until further notice. This is in response to the COVID-19/Coronavirus pandemic. With the increased number of COVID-19 cases and the uptick in community transmission of COVID-19, we fill it is best to limit exposure.
Just because the office is closed doesn't mean the church staff isn't continuing to work. We will just be working from home. You can still call 336-945-3706 during our regular hours (Monday-Thursday, 9am-3pm). Your call will be forwarded so you can speak with someone in the office. You can also connect with your church staff via email - Pastor Bill, Pastor Philip, Pastor Daniel, or Leslie. Someone from the staff will make regular visits to the church to collect mail, check the answering machine, and to complete any duties that require someone being in the office. Even though the office is closed, you should notice no disruption in service.
This was a tough decision to make. We appreciate your understanding and grace as we make this change in our schedule.
God tells his people in the Bible over and over not to be afraid. He told Joshua not to fear before Israel entered Canaan. Jesus told his disciples not to fear when he walked to them on water. The angels told the visitors at the empty tomb not to fear because Jesus was alive not dead. Jesus told John not to fear in his vision in Revelation 1. As followers of Jesus, we are not to be afraid. God rode the ark with Noah, came through the Red Sea with Israel, walked in the fiery furnace with the three Hebrew children, and he has promised to be with us always. Believers, we need to be people who walk in faith, not in fear.
It is our obligation during this situation surrounding COVID-19 to exhibit faith and wisdom. Our response is aimed at fulfilling this obligation.
Leadership continues to monitor the COVID-19/Coronavirus situation. Since this is an everchanging event, we have decided to make decisions regarding services on a weekly basis. Please check the website regularly for communication regarding Lewisville Baptist Church's response.
Our primary obligation as a church is to worship Christ and seek to engage others in a relationship with Jesus. At this point we have decide to suspend assembling together in our building, but we will have staff on hand to livestream our morning worship service. Also our office will remain open during the week - Monday-Thursday, 9am-3pm. If you need to connect with a minister or church personnel, call 336-945-3706.
Though our primary obligation is the spiritual health of others, we do have an obligation to the public health. Our plans below reflect our desire to create a spiritually and physically healthy environment in which to worship.
this is a very fluid situation and information changes quickly, check this page
